The unit of everything
Credits are Nano Banana's single currency for generation. Every image costs a fixed number of credits depending only on resolution — no surge pricing, no per-model math on the frontend:
- 1K image = 1 credit
- 2K image = 3 credits
- 4K image = 8 credits (subscription-only)
Two kinds of credits
Subscription credits arrive monthly with your plan (3,300 / 8,000 / 25,000 by tier) and expire with the monthly cycle. Pack credits ($12.90 → 3,900, $29.90 → 9,600, $69.90 → 23,000) are one-time purchases that never expire. Spending always consumes soonest-expiring credits first.
Success-only billing
Submitting a batch reserves credits; a credit is spent only when its output succeeds and becomes downloadable. Blocked, failed, timed-out, or cancelled slots release their reserve automatically. Free credits (sign-up bonus, daily check-in) follow the same rule but hold no cash value.
Where to see your balance
The account page shows both balances and the full ledger: every grant, reserve, charge, and release as a separate line. If the numbers ever disagree with what you downloaded, that is a bug — tell us.
